Sarah and Michael’s wedding at Dodford Manor wedding was an amazing day. Their plans, like so many others, were thrown by the ever changing rules around Covid restrictions. However, with the help of the amazing staff at Dodford Manor and all the suppliers they were able to make changes at the very last minute and go ahead and celebrate their marriage.
Like so many others, their wedding day had been planned and then, at the very last minute the rules were changed. The changes were to come in the day before their wedding and would have prevented them having the day they had planned. Not to be defeated they contacted the venue and suppliers and brought the wedding forward a few days. This meant they could go ahead before the restrictions came into place. There were obviously still restrictions which limited what they could do. However, the critical thing was they could go ahead and get married with family and close friends there to share their very special Dodford Manor Wedding!
The day started at the couple’s house. It was lovely to see Lorraine Newark and Sarah Evans again. They were doing the hair and makeup. They always do an amazing job, but it was incredible to watch them work with all the restrictions and masks etc.
Preparations complete I set off to the beautiful Dodford Manor where I met up with Michael. He looked incredible in his dress uniform. Dodford Manor had done an amazing job at preparing the venue at such short notice. They not only kept people safe, but made it look as stunning as ever.
Sarah and her entourage made their entrance and there were lots of tears and emotion. The ceremony was beautiful and it was such a privilege to be there to witness.
A beautiful Dodford Manor Wedding Ceremony
After the ceremony we set about doing the family and group photos whilst keeping people safe with social distancing etc.

As the wind howled, we then took some photos of the couple before we all headed into the warm of the barn for the wedding breakfast and speeches. There were lots of tears and laugher throughout.

The evening celebrations
As the sun set, we headed out to get some windswept picture of the stunning Dodford Manor sunset.
The day ended with the couple taking their first dance. Unfortunately restrictions meant that the guests could not join in, but that didn’t put a dampener on a very special day.
