Photography Workshops – Photographing People

About the course

This course looks at how to use natural light to capture beautiful photographs of people. We will begin by using natural window light and then move outside and look at how we can take our photos from snapshops to beautiful photographs without needing lots of lights and expensive equipment.

Using ambient light is both popular and flattering, you can photograph your subjects almost anywhere with minimal equipment.  Learn how to find ideal locations and using reflectors to enhance your photographs.

Using a natural light source is an ideal way to start learning about controlling shadows and adding life to your images.

You will learn to “read the light” , identify locations and how to  make people look their best in a photo. We will cover how to work with both adults and children.

In the afternoon we will head to a local location accompanied by a model for you to get practise at identifying locations based on light and background and get experience in how to pose people in a flattering way.
