Northampton Marriott Wedding – Wendy and Matthew

The wedding season is well and truly underway now and I realised I haven’t blogged any of this year’s weddings! Time to put that right with Wendy and Matthew’s wonderful Northampton Marriott Wedding.

It was my first time at the Northampton Marriott Hotel, so  I had scoped out the venue in the week leading up to the wedding and it is a modern hotel with some lovely rooms, enormous grounds and a handy lake. More of that later!

Bridal preparations often happen in a standard small hotel room. Those rooms can get very crowded with the bride, bridesmaids, bride’s mother and makeup. As a result it can be a challenge to get any lovely photos of the preparations. Fortunately, at the Marriott in Northampton, Wendy was getting ready in a beautiful large room with a lovely balcony. It had lots of natural light so it was a joy to get photos of her having hair and makeup done by Victoria from The Barns at Adstone.

Northampton Marriott Wedding - Bride Getting Ready

The Marriott Northampton Wedding Bride Preparations

The Wedding Ceremony was in the lovely Delapre Room. Again lots of space and light and beautifully decorated. As Wendy made her entrance in her stunning Mori Lee dress you could see the emotion on Matthew’s face.

After the ceremony there was lots of space outside. I took Wendy and Matthew down to the lake for some photos. Stunning backdrop, fantastic couple, beautiful bride in a stunning dress. What more could a photographer ask for?

Finally back to the Delapre Room for the evening. The shape of the room meant that the dance floor was in the centre of the room with lots of space around it for people to relax and enjoy the evening.

All in all we had a great day at the Northampton Marriott for Wendy and Matt’s wedding and we look forward to our next visit there!
